RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the San Francisco Marathon (the "Event"), I hereby agree as follows:

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK. I understand that participating in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: physical injury, cardiac events, heat stroke, dehydration, and other medical conditions. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

2. RELEASE AND WAIVER. I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and all affiliated parties from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my participation in the Event.

3. MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION. I authorize Event medical personnel to provide emergency medical treatment if needed. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

4. PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE. I grant permission for the use of my image, likeness, and voice in photographs, video, and other media for promotional purposes.
